![]() Clarity is the first one that is touted as a "vast" improvement over version 1. The "pro adjustments" however cost money - and so far these were equivalent or shaved version of the many of the legacy plug-ins or standalone versions. There was a lot of misunderstanding by users thinking they have to purchase Studio (they don't - it's free). You can still get version 1.1 in the Labs download, but there are going to be no more upgrades as a regular plug-in. The Clarity upgrade (fondly named "Clarity in Studio") is only available as a purchase as a Studio adjustment for new users, or a free migrated upgrade to a Studio adjustment for version 1 owners. If you go on the Studio forum, you'll see some fairly aggravated discussion regarding the confusion arising from this development. ![]() The Clarity module is $39 for a new user but is supposed to be free for a licensed user of the direct plug-in version of Clarity. The separate login for Studio also appears to be dysfunctional as the Studio page accepts my Topaz labs ID and password. ![]() I put in a service request but if the tide of trouble on this is like Studio's rollout, it's likely to take significant time before an answer is forthcoming. Clarity doesn't separately show up in the adjustment panel in Studio, and the link in the left panel in Studio (at the bottom - scroll down) only brings up the basic HSL and contrast sliders that have no effect on an image and contain the "go pro" invitation.įound no answers in the FAQ and no users on their forum discussed this problem (just griped about being forced to use Studio to enjoy the new version of Clarity). I tried following their "guidelines" on their website linked in the announcement email. Has anyone licensing Clarity 1 successfully accessed the "upgrade" that is now only ported through Studio (not a direct Adobe plugin)? ![]()
